Papier mache craft: Blue box

This box was just a simple and easy way to use up all the scraps of coloured paper and cardboard I've got in my art box. I used shades of any blue of any tone I could find, some metallic, some transparent and so on. I cut them into small shapes and punched heart-shaped holes in some.
The background colour for the Blue Box: various blue paint shades, roughly wiped over the box so that they didn't come together too much. I lacquered the bits of card and paper randomly over the sides and top. I also used some Cristina Re blue and gold paper, and an old scrapbooking background that had some sweet quotes on it. The quotes formed the focus for the top of the lid.

The inside of the box is a crisp glossy white.
