Samios Foods

Tucked away on Annerley Road, not far from the Mater, is a rickety old building with heaps of character! Currently they have my favourite bread, as well as fantastic olives and all your Greek and Italian gear. I love the beautiful little blue milk saucepans hanging overhead, and behind the counter,the semi-shrine to the patriach/founder of the business who passed away a few years ago. These guys also have some serious cheese in there. At Christmas time they absolutely clean up with their huge range of homemade fresh glace fruits. Makes me want to whip up a big panettone or something.
