Mushroom, basil and oregano breakfast

Heat an olive-oiled frying pan to pretty hot. Add sliced whole unpeeled mushrooms, half a grated garlic clove, a dusting of salt and black pepper. Cook, turning occasionally, until mushrooms are golden-fried and garlic is no longer raw. Tip the lot onto a slice of toasted sourdough, and rip over a handful of fresh oregano and basil from the garden. A nice cup of English Breakfast goes down well with it, as well as the early-morning cartoons.
